HomeCraft Remodeling Builds
"Homes from the Heartland"

Habitat for Humanity and the Kansas City chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry have partnered together with the City of Kansas City, MO for "Homes from the Heartland," a benefit home building project for Katrina victims.

HomeCraft owner Charlie Blair and lead carpenter Chad Jergensen with his wife Kelly

The build took place at Liberty Memorial in June. Homes are built here, shipped to Louisiana, and a group of volunteers will go down to Louisiana to assemble the houses.

"Ten homes in seven days means hope for ten families in need."

At the kick-off event, Charlie stood with Mayor Kay Barnes & representatives from the city of Kansas City, MO

"It's nice to feel like you're really helping the people who need it," says Chad. "Sometimes it's hard to tell from out of state, but with this you know you're making a real impact."
